Miscellaneous manuscripts, 1924-1951.

Consists of three folders. Includes nine letters: three letters dated 1924 to W.H. Exelby of Montreal on various literary topics; and six letters dated 1935-1951 to Margaret Cobb (Mrs. William Cobb) of New York City and later of Wellesley Hills, Mass. The letter dated 13 December 1951 was written by Rosalind Lohrfinck, Mencken's secretary, due to Mencken's illness. Also includes 16 photographs of Mencken and his home in Baltimore, made from negatives taken on 3 August 1940 by A. Aubrey Bodine. One is an 8 x 10 in b&w glossy (of Mencken's living room); one is an autographed head shot in an 8X10" glossy; the others are 5 x 7 in. b&w glossy.
